DTF Trade Printer
What is DTF?
DTF or ‘Direct To Film’ is a print process that lays ink down onto a silicone release film, a heat activated adhesive is applied to the wet ink and cured, resulting in a ready to apply print. A heat press is then used to apply the print to fabric. The image is printed using CMYK and White inks on an industrial inkjet printer, producing full colour with white images.
Our DTF prints are supplied on a roll, ready to be trimmed then applied using a standard heat press, exactly the same way one would apply HTV (Heat Transfer Vinyl), with the advantage of no weeding and with subtle colourful images.
The process is ideal for intricate designs, full colour logos, graphics and even photographs.
